A new 102mm wide last provides more performance and comfort. The widest part of the shell is now located further back on the lateral side of the foot, near the “sixth toe” providing more comfort in a critical area for a lot of feet. To further enhance fit and performance, the toe box and heel pocket have been reshaped to provide a significant increase in both precision and responsiveness compared to previous versions. More comfort, more performance!

Carbon Core
For the first time ever, the Maestrale and Gea feature carbon fiber. Our new Carbon Core technology adds serious backbone to the Pebax® Rnew shell to increase performance and power transmission.

Pebax offers a unique combination of high performance properties: sustained flexibility at low temperature, high cold impact resistance and outstanding energy return.

RECCO®
In case of avalanches and emergencies, or if lost in the outdoors, RECCO rescue reflectors make you searchable by organized rescue teams searching with RECCO detectors. RECCO is not a substitute for an avalanche transceiver.

Intuition® Liner
The leader in boot liner technology, Intuition® uses closed cell EVA foam for performance ski and mountaineering boots.

Ortholite®
Ortholite is an open-cell PU foam with great resistance to compression set (less than 5% compression set). The open cell PU structure provides exceptional breathability, and the formulation also includes 5% recycled rubber content as well. This provides enhanced rebound while lowering the impact on the planet.
