These skis are the holy grail, and you would be crazy to skip clicking the buy button. I'm dead serious. You can literally go twice as far, ski better, and feel better doing it. This is the kind of ski weight where you don't mind carrying them in your hand or over your shoulder for a while. The super light swing weight helps you in agility and direction, while the fat waist width floats you and surfs you down the hill like a modern snowboard. Breaking trail is ridiculously easy. They have the right amount of sidecut for that carving sensation we all look for. When I bought them, I knew I would love them when the snow is really deep. It didn't take me long to prefer them for every ski day of the season when the snow is as shallow as 5" deep. Ski something narrower and heavier on steep crust. For everything better than that, trust me.... these will change your life. Plus, they are manufactured in Utah by really nice backcountry ski lifers at Voile. - Mike Schwartz

The new Voile Hyper V8 is the updated version of the V8. The core is updated from aspen to paulownia wood, and the amount of carbon fiber has been doubled and Voile reinforced the binding mounts to account for the lighter core. The last update is a new graphic made from a durable and snow/ice phobic topsheet material. The Voile Hyper V8 is agile, fat, and feather light. It has the ability to float in the powder yet maintains quick edge to edge for the days when powder is scarce. The Hyper 8 is the result of many little changes to create a new award winning high performing ski.
